Dr Pranamita Kalita has an overall experience of 12 years of medical practice and more than 7 years of superspeciality practice in kidney diseases. She has a vast experience in the treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease and its various associated problems like ‘difficult-to-treat’ high Blood pressure, Anemia, Mineral Bone disease. She has also treated many patients of AKI( Acute kidney injury), Glomerulonephritis, rare hereditary kidney diseases and complicated Urinary tract infections.

She has performed more than 2500 procedures till date, including HD catheter insertion, permanent catheter implantation, Renal biopsy, acute PD catheter etc. Under her care so far, more than 30,000 sessions of hemodialysis have been performed. She is currently associated with Hayat hospital, Guwahati. She is also available through outreach camps in Tezpur, Nalbari, Rangiya and Hojai. She was associated with the opening of the first centre for free dialysis under the ‘Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme’ in Nalbari in June 2019.Dr Pranamita Kalita has several academic laurels to her name. She did her DNB in Nephrology in 2014 – 2016 under National Board of Examinations, India in which she secured first rank in the country and gold medal. She acquired her MD degree in Medicine in 2012 from Guwahati Medical college, where also she was a gold medallist. She was State topper in 10th Board Examination and has won several awards till date.
